It is a light kind of black, our latest IPA. The cara malt endows it with a red brownish hue. Flavour wise it provides a drop of coffee and a hint of chocolate.
The hops make it remarkably fresh for such a dark brew. The Magnum variety ensues a soft bitterness. Simcoe and Cascade team up for a slightly tropical fruitiness while a Motueka dryhop delivers in terms of a light exotic freshness.
The result is a deliciously velvety dark IPA. An acceptable percentage of 6.4 ensures more than one (that is what this taste like) won’t do too much damage.
The Black IPA is a limited edition, only available on tap at our very own brewpub.
