Where creativity and beer come together.

Meeting makers, exchanging ideas, and sharing a love for one of the world’s most iconic materials, all while enjoying a cold can of beer.
Each year, De Hallen in Amsterdam transforms into a place where denim enthusiasts and creative makers come together. And at such a creative hub, we at ’t IJ wouldn’t want to miss out. So, we built a bar and brought along a few of our eye-catching cans of beer.
There was also a market featuring unique brands, vintage gems, and DIY customisation, along with workshops, talks, and enough indigo to satisfy your denim fix for months.
The event took place on 17 and 18 October 2025 and, as always, was open to everyone — free of charge.

Collaborating with young makers
The great thing about Denim Days is that it’s also a place where young people get the chance to learn and create with denim. This year, we designed a new limited-edition kimono right here, together with four young makers from the House of Denim Talent Incubator programme. It’s a programme specially developed for talent who want more than school alone, who sometimes fall between the cracks of the system, and who are eager to grow, both in professional skills and on a personal level.
The IJ kimonos feature a hand-knitted embroidery of our iconic ostrich. As each piece is handmade, minor variations from the photos may occur, making every kimono truly unique.
Each kimono is made to order. The kimono can be ordered here.
