Our locations
Brouwerij ’t IJ has two tasting rooms and a café: Proeflokaal De Molen and Café Struis on the Funenkade, and Proeflokaal ’t Blauwe Theehuis in Vondelpark.
Under the windmill, you’ll also find our brewery. A second brewery is located on Zeeburgerpad.

At ’t Blauwe Theehuis, you can just drop by with up to 10 people. We operate on a walk-in basis, so no reservation is required.
How to get to our locations under the windmill?
By bike
No matter which direction you’re coming from: once you see the windmill, you’re almost there! There’s plenty of space next to the terrace to park your bike.
By public transport
Coming from Central Station?
Take tram 14 towards Flevopark and get off at Pontanusstraat.
Coming from the city center?
Take tram 14 from Dam, Rokin, or Rembrandtplein and get off at Pontanusstraat.
Coming from Leidseplein?
Take tram 7 to Azartplein and get off at Hoogte Kadijk.
By boat
We are located at the junction of the Nieuwe Vaart and Mauritskade, making it easy to reach by boat. There’s a spacious jetty behind the brewery, but note the signs: loading and unloading is allowed, but mooring is not.
By car
We are easy to reach by car. Next to the brewery you’ll find the My Way Zeeburgerpad car park. You can reserve a spot here.
Of course, if you’re coming to enjoy a beer in our tasting room, the best option is to come by bike or public transport.
Wheelchair access
Unfortunately, our tasting room is not wheelchair accessible. This is mainly due to the toilets being located in the basement, in addition to the high thresholds. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Would you like to serve ’t IJ in your café, restaurant, or bar?
Simply order through your own drinks supplier. Ask them for our range, from the undisputed crowd favourite IJwit and the Zatte Tripel where it all began, to our IPA. Or try our low-alcohol options: Vrijwit and Free IPA.
